This work requires a licensed plumber operating under proper permitting and inspection before the line is covered. A landscaper or handyman who runs a gas line without a permit is creating a liability — and a safety risk — that you inherit as the homeowner. We pull the permit, bring the licensed plumber, and close out the gas work with a proper inspection.
Electrical: GFCI, Weatherproof, and Permitted
Outdoor kitchens, covered patios, and entertainment areas typically require multiple new circuits: refrigerator, lighting, outlets, television, and audio. All outdoor electrical must be GFCI-protected, installed in weatherproof enclosures, and tied into your home's electrical panel with correct ampacity. We develop the outdoor space layout, select materials for all surfaces and structures, specify appliances and fixtures, and finalize the project scope. For kitchen projects, we coordinate the gas, plumbing, and electrical design at this phase.
Gas, plumbing, electrical, and covered structure work requires permits. We manage the permit process and schedule required inspections. Most outdoor permit applications are approved in 2–4 weeks.

But the moment a project includes a gas line, plumbing, electrical, or a permanent covered structure attached to the home — which describes most outdoor kitchen and patio projects — permits are required. A full outdoor kitchen is a complete cooking and entertaining station with cabinetry, countertops, a built-in grill plus additional appliances, a sink with running water, refrigeration, and adequate counter workspace. The two are in completely different categories in terms of cost, utility, and daily use. We build both.
In most cases, yes. We source materials from the same manufacturer lines as existing installations where possible, and we do test-fit samples before the project begins. For older travertine or concrete paver installations that have developed weathering and patina, a perfect color match to new material is not always possible — we discuss that honestly upfront.
